Ruby Wrap Skirt for Women

I recently tested the new Ruby Wrap Skirt for women by Daydream Patterns. It is such a quick and easy sew. This pattern is perfect for people new to sewing clothing and sewing with wovens. This week only, there is a coupon code in the Daydream Patterns Facebook group for 25% off of this pattern.

Instructions are included for three different front options. A plain front which is perfect for showcasing a beautiful large scale print, a lace overlay version and also a color blocked front. There are also two different options for finishing the top. You can use either bias tape or ribbon. The size range is AU 8-20 (US 4-16). There is also a girls version available and I believe my nieces would love some wrap skirts themselves!

I made the color block version with a double fold bias tape finish on the top and a plain front using 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon for the top. My skirts were all quilting cotton. In addition to quilting cottons, a stretch woven would also work wonderfully.

Confession time…I *may* have chosen fabrics to match these awesome Tickled Pink Designs necklaces. Most of the time I am buying them for my nieces but I have a couple for myself too and this was the perfect opportunity to get some pics of those.

I also made my top using my favorite tank pattern, the Vitality Racerback tank.
