I finally got around to being able to make gifts for my family…on Christmas Day but better late than never right?
One of my great nieces was NEEDING a new dance bag and her mom wanted one with a zipper. I found this cute duffle bag pattern from Small Fry & Co. I think it turned out super cute. I did make a couple of modifications. I already had cute quilting cottons picked out for inside and out so instead of using duck cloth for the interior, I used some fusible fleece to help the bag hold it’s shape.
I think for the next one I make I will cut the main part in half (and have a seam on the bottom) so that the handles will be a little easier to attach. It won’t be long before the youngest will be ready for dance class.
I also whipped up some unpapertowels and unsponges for myself and one other family member. I’ve got 12 unsponges heading out to some testers so that hopefully I can add these items to the shop soon!
And for a New Years resolution….I plan on writing more in the new year!
